Xbox memory Empty Xbox memory

Post by Gloom Trooper Mon Aug 17, 2009 5:05 am

Hey good folks I need some advice in Xbox HD memory.

I just got my RRODed Xbox back and I was thinking about getting a new HD memory. My original memory HD for it is almost full. It's currently only the small HD (20G... I think) and I have to keep removing stuff from it to make room for more zombie add ons. I was going to put it (the old Xbox) in the lounge room so the missus (She has a silver account under the name Aunty Muh, but I have a month of gold for her to try out) can have a play as well, and I'll keep the new one. Ps the new xbox I bought was just the arcaded version with no HD memory, just a wee built in one.

So my question is, does anyone know where I can can get a good price for memory and what kind of memory is available, size wise? I don't have a lot of cash so it wil probably just have to be one of the smaller ones. Google is shit, all I'm getting is bloody bundles, ie: with system.

Thanks in advance peeps.

Very Happy

Checkout eBay Boob Trooper. Seen some 120hd for under $100, which is good. Don't buy a 60hd as they're only a few bucks cheaper.
All hardware for xboxs have no region locking. In stores like jb they go for 169 or sumfin, so definately try and sauce one on the web.

Wowsers, for some reason I thought the 120GB were about $300 bucks. I was resigned to the fact that I might just have to get another 20GB. Hmmm, I will definately look for one of those cheapy 120GB. Thanks Ducky!

Any linkies?

Thanks for the linky Hillman. What a bargain. You guys and gals are awesome.

Oh yeah, I will need one of those cabley things huh. Thanks Rusty or Ducky, whoever has the most awesome one will be fine. =) So is it pretty easy to transfer stuff?

Hey cool, I just realised if I get one of those 120GB I can put games on my hard drive like all the cool kids. So hey, do you still need to have the game in the drive for it to work?

Yep have to have the game in the drive, they are just verifying that you actually own the game.

Just ring M$ support(bout one of the only times i was ever quick talking to them) and they'll send you one for free to keep, mine took a day and a half to get here and was bloody surprised about it too.

Why not do both? Means when he's done he can send theirs back and still have one for imself, but either way, when i got mine from M$ it was here within days, actually beat an order of some parts from WA which was placed the same day...

Bullshit Broom, I've seen em on their with warrenties.

Did you buy an elite or straight up HDD Neci? I know that you do not get a transfer cable with elites but MS will send you one through support. When I bought a 120Ghdd for a Arcade cuntsole it came with the transfer cable and cd...I never did receive the one I rang support about.

Anyways, I heard on the grape vine that they had removed them from the hdd package altogether...maybe not?

Yes Hillman, I am scared!

affraid

But if you're vouching for this guy, I'm ok with that. I thought you just googled it. I'm just not too keen on buying stuff without a warranty. I can't afford to take the risk. Thanks Hilly, I think I'll go with 3month warranty, at least it's something huh.

So, er in regards to the transfer cable. Are you sure I can just ring up and get one of those things for free? I don't need to provide proof of purchase or anything?
